Yes, absolutely. At 4Drive we do not require a deposit or a credit card hold when you rent a car in Morocco. You can pay the full rental cost by debit card or cash at pickup. We do not freeze any funds on your card and we do not ask for a security deposit. This is our standard policy for all rentals across Morocco, whether you pick up in Marrakesh, Casablanca, Agadir, Fes, or any other city.

We accept Visa and Mastercard debit cards, and cash in either Moroccan Dirhams (MAD) or Euros (EUR). You do not need a credit card. Payment is made in full at the time of pickup. If you prefer to pay in cash, please let us know in advance so we can confirm the exact amount in your chosen currency.

Yes. You can complete your reservation online through our booking widget and pay the full amount when you collect your car at Marrakesh Airport, Casablanca Airport, Agadir Airport, or your hotel. We will confirm your booking by email and send you all pickup instructions. No prepayment or deposit is required to secure your reservation.

No. We offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before your pickup time. If your plans change, simply contact us by email or phone and we will cancel your reservation with no charge. This applies to all bookings made through 4Drive Morocco.

Yes, you can change your pickup date, time, location, or car category at any time before pickup. Contact us by email or phone and we will update your reservation. There is no fee for modifications as long as the new car and dates are available.

Every 4Drive rental in Morocco includes full Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP) with zero excess. This means you are fully covered for any damage to the car or theft, with no deductible to pay. Third Party Liability insurance is also included as required by Moroccan law. You do not need to purchase additional insurance at pickup.

No. Our full insurance package covers all damage and theft with zero excess, so there is no need to buy additional cover. Some other rental companies in Morocco offer basic insurance and try to sell expensive excess reduction at pickup, but with 4Drive you are already fully protected. The price you see online is the final price you pay.

Yes. Our insurance covers you throughout Morocco, including mountain roads such as the Tizi n'Tichka pass to Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou, and desert pistes to Merzouga and Zagora. If you plan to drive on unpaved tracks in the Sahara, we recommend renting a 4x4 SUV such as the Dacia Duster or Toyota RAV4 for safety and comfort. Standard cars are fine for paved roads and the main Atlas pass.

You need a valid driving licence from your home country, your passport, and an International Driving Permit (IDP) if your licence is not in Roman alphabet (for example, Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese, or Japanese script). If your licence is in English, French, Spanish, or another Roman-alphabet language, an IDP is recommended but not always required. Bring all three documents to be safe. You must present the original documents at pickup; photocopies are not accepted.

The minimum age is 21 years for economy, compact, and sedan cars. For SUVs and 4x4 vehicles (such as the Dacia Duster and Toyota RAV4), the minimum age is 23 years. The driver must have held a valid licence for at least one year. There is no maximum age limit.

Yes. You can add one or more additional drivers to your rental. Each additional driver must meet the same age and licence requirements and must present their documents at pickup. There is a small daily fee for each extra driver, which will be added to your total at pickup. This is useful if you plan to share driving on long routes such as Marrakesh to Fes or Marrakesh to Merzouga.

We offer pickup at all major Morocco airports, including Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK), Casablanca Mohammed V Airport (CMN), Agadir Al Massira Airport (AGA), Fes Saiss Airport (FEZ), and Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport (TNG). We also deliver cars to hotels and riads in Marrakesh, Casablanca, Fes, Agadir, Essaouira, and other cities. Choose your preferred pickup location when you book online.

When you land at Marrakesh, Casablanca, or Agadir airport, collect your luggage and exit to the arrivals hall. Our driver will be waiting with a sign showing your name and the 4Drive logo. They will take you to the car, complete the paperwork, and hand over the keys. The whole process takes about 10 to 15 minutes. If your flight is delayed, do not worry - we track all arrivals and adjust pickup times automatically.

Yes, we offer one-way rentals between major cities in Morocco. For example, you can pick up your car at Marrakesh Airport and drop it off in Casablanca, Agadir, Fes, or Tangier. There is a one-way fee that varies depending on the route. Contact us when you book to confirm availability and the exact fee for your chosen route.

No problem. We monitor all flight arrivals in real time. If your flight to Marrakesh, Casablanca, or Agadir is delayed, our driver will adjust the pickup time automatically. You do not need to call us. Just proceed to the arrivals hall when you land and our driver will be there waiting for you.

Return your car to the same location where you picked it up, unless you booked a one-way rental. If you are returning to Marrakesh, Casablanca, or Agadir airport, drive to the designated parking area and hand the keys to our staff. If you are returning to a hotel or city office, our driver will meet you at the agreed time and location. We inspect the car and confirm that everything is in order. The return process takes about 10 minutes.

Yes. We offer both manual and automatic transmission cars. Automatic models include the Hyundai Accent sedan, Toyota RAV4 SUV, and Mercedes E-Class. If you prefer to drive an automatic in Morocco, select this option when you book online. Automatic cars are slightly more expensive than manual, but they are ideal for long drives on the toll motorways between Marrakesh, Casablanca, and Fes.

It depends on your itinerary. If you plan to stay on paved roads and visit Marrakesh, Casablanca, Essaouira, Fes, and the main Atlas pass (Tizi n'Tichka), a standard car such as the Dacia Logan or Hyundai Accent is perfectly fine. Fuel is sold by the litre and prices are similar to Europe. If you plan to drive through remote areas such as the Sahara or the southern Atlas valleys, fill up in the last major town (such as Ouarzazate or Errachidia) before heading into the desert. Yes. The drive from Marrakesh to the Sahara is one of Morocco's most spectacular road trips. The most popular route is via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 metres altitude) to Ouarzazate, then through the Dades and Todra gorges to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. The total distance is about 560 kilometres and takes around 9 to 10 hours of driving. We recommend splitting the journey over two days with an overnight stop in Ouarzazate or the Dades Valley. A 4x4 SUV is recommended if you want to drive on sandy pistes near the dunes, but a standard car is fine for the paved road to Merzouga village.

Traffic in Morocco drives on the right-hand side. Seat belts are mandatory for all passengers. Using a mobile phone while driving is illegal unless you have a hands-free system. Speed limits are 60 km/h in built-up areas, 100 km/h on open roads, and 120 km/h on toll motorways. Drink-driving is illegal; the legal blood alcohol limit is 0.02%, effectively zero tolerance. Police carry out random checks and fines are issued on the spot. Always carry your driving licence, passport, International Driving Permit, and rental documents.

In the medinas (old towns) of Marrakesh, Fes, and other historic cities, you cannot drive inside the narrow streets. Park your car in a guarded car park (parking garde) near the medina entrance and explore on foot. A gardien (parking attendant) will watch your car and expect a small tip (5 to 10 dirhams) when you return. In modern districts and hotels, parking is usually free or included. Never leave valuables visible in the car.

All 4Drive rentals in Morocco use a full-to-full fuel policy. You collect the car with a full tank of fuel and you must return it full. If you return the car with less fuel, we will charge you for the missing fuel plus a refuelling service fee. Petrol stations are easy to find in Morocco, so plan to fill up shortly before you return the car at the airport or city location.

No. Our rental cars are insured and registered for use within Morocco only. You cannot drive the car into Spain, Algeria, Mauritania, or any other country. If you need to cross an international border, please contact us in advance to discuss special arrangements, although cross-border rentals are generally not available for standard bookings.

All 4Drive rental cars are regularly serviced and reliable. In the unlikely event of a breakdown, call our 24-hour roadside assistance number (provided in your rental documents). We will send a mechanic or arrange a replacement car as quickly as possible. Roadside assistance is included free of charge in all rentals. Do not attempt to repair the car yourself or hire a third-party mechanic without our authorisation.

If you are involved in an accident, stop immediately and call the police (dial 19 in Morocco). Do not move the car until the police arrive, unless it is blocking traffic and creating a safety hazard. Call our emergency number (provided in your rental documents) and we will guide you through the process. Take photos of the damage and obtain a police report (constat). You are fully insured with zero excess, so you will not have to pay for damage, but you must follow the correct procedure and report the incident to us immediately.
